NPP Goes Live Across Rutland to Make Parking Simpler

The National Parking Platform (NPP), the government-backed initiative transforming how motorists pay for parking across the UK, has announced that Rutland County Council has joined the platform.

From 27^th of August, motorists parking at participating Rutland County Council locations will be able to pay for parking using their preferred mobile parking application, removing the need to download a specific app when visiting the area.

Drivers simply need to look for the NPP logo on parking signage and can then pay using their app of choice from a growing list of approved providers, including RingGo, JustPark, PayByPhone, Caura, APCOA Connect and AppyParking.

By enabling multiple approved apps tooperate across its parking locations, Rutland County Council is givingresidents and visitors greater choice and convenience, while helping to createa more consistent parking experience.

The National Parking Platform is a government-backed technology platform that enables multiple approved parking payment providers to operate seamlessly across participating local authority parking locations. By creating a single, open platform, NPP gives motorists the freedom to use the parking app of their choice while helping councils simplify parking management and improve service resilience.

Additionally, NPP removes thefrustration of motorists needing to download different parking apps whentravelling between towns and cities. Instead, drivers can continue using apreferred provider wherever the National Parking Platform is available.
