Once you submit a membership application, the engagement team will arrange an introduction meeting where they will explain the process, Once you are live on the platform and you have completed the membership form, you become a Member of National Parking Platform Limited. To get started, reach out to get-started@npp.uk.net.
You’ll be entitled to vote on key decisions, propose changes to policies, and help shape the platform. Membership is open-ended and voluntary, but subject to continued service use.
Yes. You can resign your membership with 90 days' notice. However, services may cease unless you rejoin or maintain a commercial agreement via a Connected Supplier.
No. Local Authorities can directly contract with NPP under the Procurement Act 2023 due to its unique, non-competitive technical function and not-for-profit status. Legal advice has confirmed this position.
Most of the Service Providers on the NPP will allow Local Authorities to exit their contracts earlier for the sole purpose of joining the NPP with no penalty.
The National Parking Platform Limited legal structure ensures platform neutrality and resilience. Governance, financial safeguards, and Member consent rights ensure no single actor can dominate or redirect the platform’s purpose.
For Operators, there are no onboarding or annual membership fees. Service Providers (e.g. parking apps) cover the cost of the platform via a per-transaction fee and an annual license fee.
No. NPP operates on a cost-recovery basis. All pricing structures are published and agreed transparently via Member-approved business plans.
Service Providers pay the platform fee, not Operators. Operators receive their gross parking income minus the Service Provider's commission straight into the Operators Bank Account.
You will receive monthly payments from each individual service provider. NPP does not consolidate payments.
